When is the best time to hunt waterfowl in Saskatchewan?

There is no bad time to hunt waterfowl within the legal season. Depending on the species you are after, sandhill cranes are typically better in early season like September. If you’re wanting those big northern mallards they will be later in the season.

Can I bring my shotgun into Canada?

Yes, you are allowed to bring a firearm into Canada. You will need to follow rules and regulations set by Canada Border Services Agency.

How far is the lodge from the airport?

The lodge is approximately a two-hour drive from the airport.

How many hunters do I need to book a hunt?

Typically, we book 6-8 hunters to secure your own private group, guide and use of the lodge.

Do you take small groups for the waterfowl hunts?

We take groups of all sizes down to single hunters.

What kind of ammunition do you guys provide?

12guage 3-inch Challenger brand shells in shot sizes, 2,3,4

What is your cancellation policy?

If you wish to cancel your hunt, it must be done 90 days prior to the start of your hunt. Deposits are non refundable and will automatically be carried forward to the following year.

What clothing should I bring for waterfowl hunting in Saskatchewan?

Warm under layers, a waterproof jacket, gloves, and bibs with a camo pattern are all good options to bring on your hunt.

What type of blinds do you hunt out of?

Either A frames or lay out blinds are typically used depending on the best hide for that hunt.

Can I donate some or all my birds?

Yes, absolutely you can. We encourage you to donated your birds to the local community.

Can I bring my own calls?

You’re more than welcome to bring your own calls on the hunt if you’re respecting the guide trying to do his job.
